finally a day all to myself :D

started my nursing career on 26th July 2010.
had mixed feelings while walking to NHGP headquarters to report for work.
i was happy and excited that i'm finally starting work, yet at the same time, i was worried because i didn't know what was in store for me exactly.

waited awhile for my other colleague to reach before the acting director of nursing spoke to us.
she welcomed us onboard and told us what were expected of us. i managed to clarify all my doubts and became much more assured and relaxed after that. (:

went to the polyclinic after the orientation at headquarters was over.
and once again, we were warmly welcomed (:
both my NMs were very friendly, especially Sister Tan WL :D
she brought us around the clinic to show us the facilities and introduced us to all the staff there.
i suddenly remembered the times when we were orientated as student nurses. flashbacks. haha.
met my preceptor, SSN Teo too. when i first saw her, i thought she was not a chinese so we communicated in english. then she said a chinese phrase and i was like "eh? you know how to speak mandarin ah?!" LOL.

anyway, the next few days were mostly orientation too. the only days i felt that i was doing work were Friday and Saturday, when i was posted to the traveller's clinic. haha :X there were simply too many patients on these 2 days.

celebrated Nurses' Day at the polyclinic on Friday.
