MALAYSIA TRIP [21 Nov - 22 Nov 2009]

Day 1:
woke up at 5am to wash up and eat my breakfast.
took 950 with my mum and sis to Woodlands Checkpoint after that.
it was our first time going to my eldest aunt's house in Muah, Johor. so my mum asked my uncle along.

the moment we alighted from 950, we rushed up to the departure hall. somehow, it felt as though i was a participant of The Amazing Race. LOLS xD. the whole journey was full of running and brisk walking. my sis told me that she was already tired when we only crossed the Singapore Checkpoint. xD after that we took 170 to the Malaysia Checkpoint. and we rushed again. xD
continued journey to Larkin bus terminal after clearance from the Malaysia Checkpoint.

when we reached Larkin, we had to rush to buy the bus tickets to Muah. there were so many different bus companies at the terminal and there were alot of touting so the whole bus terminal was very noisy. we had to squeeze our way through the crowd before we reach the bus company that sells ticket to Muah. each ticket cost RM$15.20.

after buying our tickets, our uncle brought us to the Mcdonalds there for breakfast. RM$8.00 for a Sausage McMuffin w/Egg meal, that is like only SGD$3.30! :O the same meal in Singapore cost like $5.85 i think. see the difference? :D oh, and the SGD$2.50 breakfast in Singapore only cost RM$4.00, which is SGD$1.65. WOW WOW WOW! :D
anyway, we boarded the bus after that and i slept most of the time during the 2 hour journey to Muah. heh (:

when we reached my aunt's house, it was already around 1pm. we rested for awhile before we went to pray to my eldest uncle-in-law. we went to a pastry shop after that 'cos my uncle wanted to buy some pastries home. it started raining on our way there. luckily the pastry shop had good service - they shelter their customers from the car to their shop :D
the pastries were nice and they even brew chinese tea for you to go along with the pastries :D

went back to aunt's house to bathe after that. played with my 3 nieces for awhile before the whole family went out to a restaurant for dinner. the baby squid was super nice :D

Day 2:
had 豆花, soyabean milk and chwee kueh for breakfast. (:
although their chwee kueh was only half the thickness of the ones in Singapore, i thought they taste nicer 'cos they were more chewy :D
after that, rushed to the bus terminal. we were late 'cos there was a traffic jam. luckily we still manage to catch the bus. if not we would have wasted RM$60.80 on bus tickets.
slept all the way back to Larkin :D

rushed to take 170 to Malaysia Checkpoint after that. there were alot of people but luckily i managed to get seats for all 4 of us.
my uncle left for Singapore first as he was feeling tired and wanted to go home. so the remaining 3 of us went shopping at City Square.

wanted to show my sister what was A&W but there's no outlet at City Square D: so we ended up eating Mcdonalds. )): went shopping after that and i bought a pair of high heels for D&D (:

home-ed after that, rest for awhile and we went out for family dinner at Chong Pang City (:

overall, i think Muah is quite a nice place. it's kind of like Singapore in its 60s.
the people there lead a slow-paced life and they have big houses! :D
